One of the South's most rewarding showplaces, this "Queen of the Tennessee Plantations" represents 100 years of Tennessee history and architecture. Today, 30 acres remain of the once 5,400-acre plantation, making this one of the South's most outstanding show places.
On the National Register of Historic Places, Belle Meade Mansion has been beautifully restored to reflect the sumptuous elegance of the 19th century. It is furnished with antiques and decorative arts of the period. The colossal Carriage House and Stable features one of the largest antique carriage collections in the South. Other buildings to see are the Smokehouse, Garden House, Creamery and Log Cabin, one of the oldest houses in Tennessee.
One of America's premier Thoroughbred stud farms in the 19th century, Belle Meade was home to Iroquois, the first American horse to win the English Derby. One of the plantation's most prolific studs was the great Bonnie Scotland whose bloodline has been in every Kentucky Derby since 1972. Register for this tour on Registration Form E.

Recently, the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), have been meeting to discuss the possibility of bridging between the two organizations. The bridging would allow members of NAA to take courses from ISA and work toward their designations, as well as the same opportunities for ISA members to take the NAA appraisal courses and work toward the GPPA designation.
In this session, you will hear from representatives of ISA and NAA as they discuss the programs of both organizations and the possibilities that will be made available for members of both groups.
This will not be an automatic process of granting designations, but one that will require course work as well as other requirements.
