2006- Changes to 2007 IAC & IRC Competitions
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. – The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) announces new changes to the International Auctioneers Championship (IAC) and International Ringman competitions. The NAA will produce the promotional piece to air on national cable stations to promote the events, the winners, and the auction industry.
Previously, IAC winners received a $10,000 cash prize. This year, the NAA will apply that money to fund the promotional project. The program will air on cable television nationwide to showcase the events and will be available for use by the winners at their own discretion.
"We believe the production of this piece will increase the exposure of the IAC and Ringman competitions and the auction method of marketing on a level that has not been done in the past," said NAA President William Sheridan, CAI, AARE, GPPA of Mason, Mich.
This change will begin with the 2007 International Auctioneers Championship at the 58th International Auctioneers Conference and Show in San Diego, Calif. on July 16-21, 2007. More details are available in the December issue of the Auctioneer.
