2006 - Lights, camera, AUCTION! NAA shoots auction segment with NBC's Today Show


OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – On Tuesday, October 10th the NAA is scheduled to shoot a segment with NBC's Today Show for a special feature with correspondent Kevin Tibbles. The segment will focus on what it takes to become a professional auctioneer. The NAA has been working with producers for NBC's Today Show for several months to highlight the industry and the profession.

NAA President, William Sheridan, CAI, AARE, GPPA will appear in the segment as well as 2006 International Auctioneer Champions: Barbara Bonnette, CAI, AARE, GPPA of Alexandria, La., and John Nicholls of Fredericksburg, Va.

An air date has not been determined, but membership will be notified, if NAA is given advanced notice. Building on the media blitz of the skyrocketing use of residential real estate auctions, NBC is only one of many national media outlets eager to cover this topic. This is an incredible opportunity to receive national recognition about the auctioneer profession.
