2006 NAA IAC Women's Champion


Barbara Bonnette, CAI, AARE, GPPA of Alexandria, Louisiana is the Women's Champion of NAA's 2006 International Auctioneers Championship. Barbara was awarded this prestigious honor during the 57 th International Auctioneers Conference and Show held in Orlando, Florida in July of 2006.

Bonnette owner and principal auctioneer since 1987 of Bonnette Auction Company, L.L.C. in Alexandria, Louisiana, regularly holds consultations and interviews on the auction method of marketing. She brings many years of business and professional experience into the auction field.

Bonnette's auction company is a nationwide, full service auction and real estate business serving the needs of Central Louisiana and areas around the United States for over 16 years. Bonnette specializes in antique, real estate, business liquidations, vehicle and equipment auctions. Barbara has many affiliations with professional associations and participates in all of the educational programs.

Bonnette is a graduate of Nashville Auction School with a wide range of experience holding licenses in 12 states. She continued her studies through the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) at the University of Indiana. She is also a General Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA). She is a member of the Louisiana Auctioneers Association, Texas Auctioneers Association, and the National Auctioneers Association. Barbara is a past president for Louisiana's Auctioneers Association 1997-1999, current Vice Chairman of the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board, a notary and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Among Barbara's accomplishments, she is the 2000 LA Auctioneers State Champion, 1998 and 2003 First Runner-up in the NAA's International Auctioneer Championship contest which is held at the NAA's annual conference and show. Barbara has also been the official auctioneer for the NFL's Super Bowl Live Auction for the years of 2002 and 2003.

Bonnette is an active member of her community involved in several local charities. The Boys and Girls Clubs, riding clubs, rodeos, and church groups are among those charities to benefit.
